Paul's Boutique, MCA, Ad-Rock, & Mike D's second album released on July 25, 1989.
It's good, it's great, many people like it.
Miles Davis was a fan.
I too was a bit a surprised to hear that about Davis not generally thinking about an overlap between these two artists, but Davis died in September 1991, a little more than two years after the release of Paul's Boutique.
Interesting to see that bit of props from one innovator to some others.
Anyway, as you know Paul's Boutique had great beats, funny, witty, goofball lyrics, cool samples, cultural influence, much more...
The cover of Adam Yauch, Adam Horovitz, and Michael Diamond's damn good second album, put together with the help of The Dust Brothers, Allen Abrahamson, Mario Caldato Jr., Mike Simpson, Matt Dike, Ricky Powell, Jeremy Shatan, Dominick Watkins, and Nathaniel Hörnblowér.
